Original Stuttgart Production

The Song List

Same as the Original Vienna production but with the removal of "Die roten Steifel" and the addition of the new song "Stärker als wir sind" which also contains more choreography from the vampires dancing with the dream Sarah (played by a ballet double), and the villagers joins in song at the end of the number ("Das Gebet"). This song is also known as "Braver Than We Are"/"Say A Prayer" and was used on the Broadway production.

The Broadway Production

Numerous (and quite extensive) changes made to the existing script/score. It relied more on comedy (especially with Krolock), rather than a dark musical but with the villagers including Abronsious and Alfred providing comic relief. Krolock was transformed from a dark, powerful and romantic vampire to a comedian among the lines of Mel Brooks' "Dracula: Dead and Loving It".

Same as the Stuttgart production with "Stärker als wir sind"/"Das Gebet" instead of "Die roten Steifel" but with a change:

"Dla Sary" ("Für Sarah") was moved to first mid-"Ein Perfekter Tag" then to after Chagal runs after Sarah. (thanks yukinojou!)
